Texas Choir Camp Schedule at Lakeview
A Week of Worship, Music, and Community
Every summer, the Texas Choir Camp schedule creates a joyful rhythm at Lakeview Methodist Conference Center. For five days, campers of all ages gather to worship God, grow in music, and build lasting friendships. During this camp musicians of all ages and denominations come together to celebrate God through the worship arts.

Monday Check In and Opening Celebration
Texas Choir Camp begins Monday morning with check in from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Bagley Hall. Campers receive schedules, music, housing assignments, and camp materials.
After lunch, the community gathers for an opening celebration. This time helps everyone meet camp leaders, learn about Lakeview, and prepare for the week ahead before rehearsals begin.
Daily Schedule Tuesday Through Thursday
From Tuesday through Thursday, each day is full but easy to follow. Each morning starts with worship. Then campers move into choir rehearsals, handbell sessions, and choral reading.
In addition, campers choose from classes like singing, movement, crafts, organ, and handbells. Each class welcomes all experience levels. Throughout the day, free time gives space for rest, swimming, and connection.
Evening Activities and Community Fellowship
In the evening, campers come together for fun and fellowship. They enjoy concerts, themed events, and group activities. For example, silent disco and movie sing-alongs bring energy and laughter.
Then children and youth gather for devotions. These moments help campers grow in faith. After that, everyone enjoys ice cream and time with friends.
Special Events and Worship Gatherings
One highlight of the Texas Choir Camp schedule is the Wednesday night Variety Show. Campers of all ages share their talents in a joyful setting.
On Thursday evening, the full camp gathers again. Together, they share in a special worship service and Holy Communion. This service reflects the unity and purpose of the week.
Friday Festival Concert and Sending Forth
Finally, the week concludes Friday morning with the Festival Concert at 10:00 AM. All choirs and groups perform for family and friends.
The concert ends with a combined anthem led by the Camp Dean. Campers head home feeling encouraged, connected, and inspired. Youth campers check out with a parent or supervising adult through a simple and organized process.
