Leanne Seabright currently serves as the Director of Music and Worship at Northway Christian Church in Dallas and has a diverse background as a conductor, vocalist, and music educator in a variety of denominations. Leanne has focused on ways of working with and improving the vocal sound of untrained singers. Apart from improving sound, and engaging the choir in interpretation, Leanne’s great joy is curating music for the worship service.
She has sung with The Taylor Festival Choir under Robert Taylor; His Majestie’s Clerkes under Anne Heider; and the Early Music New York under Frederick Renz. Outside of serving as a music director for worship, Leanne had the distinct pleasure of preparing the Bronx Opera Chorus for Carlisle Floyd’s Susannah.
She holds a B.M. in Music Education from Cincinnati Conservatory of Music, U.C., an M.M. in Choral Conducting from SMU; and a Master of Sacred Music with concentration in worship arts from SMU Perkins School of Theology. She has studied conducting with Jan Harrington and Constantina Tsolainou and sacred music with Marcell Steuernagel.
Leanne has three lovely daughters who all appreciate music in their own way, and she enjoys hiking and discovering new recipes in her spare time.
