Karla Sosa serves as the Director of Choirs at Anthony Middle School in Cypress-Fairbanks ISD and is currently celebrating her 20th year of teaching middle school choir in the district. She earned her Bachelor of Music Education degree from the University of Houston’s Moores School of Music in 2006.
Mrs. Sosa was selected “Teacher of the Year” at Campbell Middle School in 2019. She has been a guest choral conductor and clinician for several honor choirs across the area. Her past engagements include serving as the CFISD Elementary Honor Choral Festival Choral Director in 2017, the Fort Bend ISD Elementary Honor Choir Clinician in 2018, and the Region 13 All-Region Choir 8th Grade Treble Clinician 2019 and 2026. Karla currently serves on the Board of Trustees for The Foundation For Music Education.
Outside the classroom, Mrs. Sosa serves as a Worship Leader at CyLife Church in Cypress, Texas. She is married and the proud mother of two daughters, Lauren and Delaney. Mrs. Sosa is passionate about inspiring young singers to develop a lifelong love of music and to discover the joy of singing collectively.
